Submission Guidelines
Please read the submission guidelines carefully before sending any work.
The journal welcomes submissions in English and Welsh.
All submissions should be sent to our email address using the subject ‘Submission Piece’.
Please include a cover page stating:

your name
-
your email address
-
degree scheme
-
year of study
-
Whether the manuscript is a Law submission or a Criminology submission.
We will only consider one piece of work from each author.
We will not accept any essays prepared for assessment prior to submission and marking.
Preparation of Submissions
Submissions submitted electronically should be sent in MS Word format.
Articles
These should be a maximum of10,000 words (excl. footnotes). All articles should include an abstract of 200 words with a maximum of six keywords.
Comments
These are case comments and comments on law reform/ proposals. They should be no longer than 2000 words.
Referencing
All references to authority within submissions must conform to OSCOLA or Harvard referencing style.
Copyright infringement, plagiarism or other breaches of best practice in publication
The Aberystwyth Law & Criminology Journal takes issues of copyright infringement, plagiarism or other breaches of best practice in publication very seriously. We seek to protect the reputation of the journal against malpractice. With regard to plagiarism we reserve the right to take action including, but not limited to: retracting the article (removing it from the journal); taking up the matter with the head of department and banning the author from publication in the journal.

Any direct or indirect conflict of interest must be declared.
